SMS MESSAGING TERMS

What we send

OnGuard sends text messages about work: that a shift has been offered to you, that a shift you are on has changed or been cancelled, reminders before a shift starts, and reminders to finish your profile. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.

How you opt in

You opt in by ticking the SMS box when you create your OnGuard account, or by turning SMS on in Settings. The box is not ticked for you, and it is separate from accepting our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Consent is not a condition of anything. You can create an account, be scheduled, work shifts and be paid without ever turning SMS on.

How you opt out

Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts, or turn SMS off in Settings. You can opt back in the same way you opted in.

Frequency and cost

Message frequency varies with how much you work — a guard on several shifts a week receives more than one who is not currently scheduled. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your number

We use your mobile number to send the messages described above and to reach you about work. We do not sell it. Who can see it, and when, is covered in our Privacy Policy.

Who we are

OnGuard Technologies, Inc. is a software platform. Security companies hire and employ guards; OnGuard provides the tools they use. Texts you receive through OnGuard relate to work offered or scheduled by the company that employs you.
